<Artist Statement >
Shapes that catch your eye in your daily life or shapes that you suddenly remember.
Words or phrases that catch your eye.
A shape casually drawn with lines on paper.
As I collect these, I think about methods to turn them into works of art, and within a frame drawn with a single line that casually blends in with "painting," I determine the rules of expression, then repeat the process of finding shapes, creating shapes, painting the shapes, and arranging them.
I am currently working on four series in parallel.
"Nameless" "Unknown" "Named" "Pseudonym"
In each series, I embrace the everyday world of disjointed images and enjoy expressing them in my own way.
I hope that the different works in each series, created using different techniques, will become layered and will obscure and make invisible me, the artist.

[Tomorrow's Emotions/The Distance Between You and Me]
Originally, I started making paintings as a way to counter the confusion of my own ambivalent feelings. Before I knew it, those quiet confusions of feelings had become my own style and characteristics.
The paintings feature complex expressions and clear images. Within a single painting, the subject may appear distant, or so close you can almost feel their breath. The artist depicts the changes in the relationship and sense of distance.
[Layered Japanese]
He has used the double layer structure consistently since the beginning of his career. A silk paper is placed slightly above the paper and colored, and the technique allows him to adjust the output depending on the work, from a soft transparency to a strong resistance to attack.
